EMPIRES AND PUZZLES FULL GUIDE
Main Objectives
- Leveling up your player. This is slightly different to normal with this type of game where you normally need to focus on leveling up your headquarters.
- Level up your heroes
- Gain experience to gain player levels
- Rinse and repeat these steps.
Best ways to achieve main objectives
- Always train and level up your best hero. You will be given a 3* starter hero (normally called Bane) who you want to focus getting to level 50.
- Don’t waste time/resources on levelling up 1* or 2* heroes. This will make things slower for you.
- Use your energy points as frequently as possible. If you have max energy then get that energy used so it restores while you can’t play!
- In the training camp, make sure you’re training heroes as nonstop as possible. The more heroes you can produce the more experience you can gain.
- Use the daily summon and hope you get additional 3* heroes
- Complete available quests to gain the most XP. After level 5, XP from quests will outweigh completing the campaign. You still need to work on the campaign but focus on quests when they’re available.
- When you get stuck on a level, go back and repeat the previous stages on autoplay for XP. Then level up your heroes some more and try and level again. There will always be a cutoff when a level just can’t be completed until you’ve leveled up some more. Don’t waste time trying to ‘beat’ the level if you lose once.
- Do not waste your gems on energy refills. Save up your gems – When you have 300, you can purchase new heroes.
Best levels to grind for XP
When you get to a certain point in the game, it becomes effective to just repeat specific levels over and over to farm XP. When you get too strong for a level, progress until you get to the next one, then farm that. The idea here is that you don’t want to get stuck trying to grind through levels and spending ages to complete them.
- Stage 7-1 – When you get to this stage, keep repeating it until you get a lot of hero/XP gain (e.g 10-15 times before moving on to next level)
- Stage 8-1
- Stage 9-1 – This stage gives the best XP ratio in the early levels. When you get to it, repeat it loads.
- Stage 10-3
- Stage 10-4
- Stage 12-2 – Once you’re strong enough.

Best tips for Heroes
- Do not waste any resources leveling up level 1 or level 2 heroes. Ignore the temptation, don’t do it! It will slow you down.
- There are a couple of exceptions to this if you get these specific heroes:
- Layla – She’s powerful for a level 2 hero so will be able to help complete more levels compared to other level 2’s
- Sha Ji – Same as above. If you get early, you can choose to level up as they will accelerate your early game.
- There are a couple of exceptions to this if you get these specific heroes:
- Level your heroes just as needed to get to the next level. Don’t race ahead too soon.
- When you level up your heroes, using other heroes of the same colour gives better XP.
- You get your second 3* hero from completing the starters quests. Try to do this as quick as you can.
- Get another 3* hero by saving up then spending 300 gems.
Buildings
- Don’t focus time on buildings, they don’t help much. Remember, you’re aiming for player level 25
- Do get your stronghold to level 10 as soon as possible because this unlocks the barracks.
- For your farms/mines, aim for level 7 and no higher.
- For your training camps, aim for level 2.
Following these basic steps will get you to level 25 well within the 60-day timeframe.
